Chocolate is my only vice

Julia comes to us from Canada. She started her own nanny business at the ripe age of ten, and she’s been taking care of others ever since. She is organized, hard working and patient, someone with a calm demeanor that exhibits grace under pressure. We think her soothing skills are embodied in an STS program manager or the next Nobel Peace Prize winner - you pick. A degree in Tourism and Hospitality (Dean’s List of course), a stint with Technicolor Toronto, and the Fairmont Toronto were all proving ground to becoming an STS Program Manager. Need we say more? She has just one downfall - chocolate.

Managing programs like a championship QB

We’re pretty sure Britt is from Alabama but we’re not sure what gave him away when we first met him. Maybe it was the license plate on his car. Or, the way he finished a sentence with “Roll Tide”. At first we thought maybe he had a thing for toilet paper and clean clothes. But, now we know it’s just a college football thing. But, being a diehard University of Alabama fan is a pretty passionate pastime and when you have someone like Britt who is this passionate about football then you have to know he is going to be passionate about program management! Yep, there is a link between Alabama football and a great transportation program! It’s Britt! If you’re in need of someone to quarterback your transportation and lead a team to program success then Britt is your guy! If you are looking for national championship type service – he’s your man! Trust us, Britt is going to take whatever you throw at him to heart and get a touchdown every single time. By the way, even though he looks like he just enjoys Alabama football he’s also a pretty good cook and a great dad! His two kids will attest to that fact – at least in the off season.

The Parking Superman

If Brasher had his way there would be parking available for everyone any time day or night! We’re certain this isn’t the only NO PARKING sign that has been defaced by his red marker! Hiring a certified parking professional to lead us to the next level of service was a no-brainer once we met Brasher. Who can’t like this guy? I mean he loves just about everything he touches. The outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with friends and family AND Auburn University football! Yeah, we know we stepped in it having Auburn AND Alabama fans under one roof. What were we thinking? But, we couldn’t say no to the parking man. Did you see that face? Who could say no? We soon learned that while Brasher is a parking SUPERMAN he is also a great family man with two young sons and a much better half. And to top it all off - in his off time Brasher saves kittens from trees and damsels in distress! Nah, we’re just kidding. The real topper is he lends his parking expertise to every nationwide program we do – which just makes STS that much better at what we do for you!

Money Makes Her World Go Round

There are many striking things about Tanya. Her hair, her height (5’11”) the fact that she can make her 10-key calculator absolutely SMOKE sometimes all the while pulling 15 reports at once! She is one fascinating Finance Manager that knows stats - and not just ours by the way- but the entire Green Bay Packers, too. Did someone cry when Favre was traded? Tanya loves football season, orchids, all things GREEN – it takes her two hours to water her plants at night! She enjoys hanging out with her two dogs and three cats – one Tabby weighs in at 21 pounds – and her friends. Plus, get this she’s really good at poker -really, really good. Add up all of these tidbits and you get one very interesting woman. Tanya knows what she’s doing and takes good care to watch every penny. But be careful, she’ll take your pennies in a good card game if you let her.

"Organizer Extraordinaire"

This former college equestrian champion is almost impossible to sum up in a few words. Since Lacy arrived at STS, she has single-handedly organized this eclectic group of folks to the point we’re afraid to touch a file - much less actually pull it from the filing cabinet - without asking permission first. Database? Check. Office supplies? Check. Packing your program up neatly and shipping it across country to arrive on time? Check. And she does these things before you realize it needs to be done. No wonder she was the recipient of the STS Servant Leader Award for 2010. We aren’t sure how she does it, though it may have something to do with being married and raising two daughters. Oh yeah - need us to explain the bug? She loves ladybugs and drives a bug. Go figure.

He can stack a parking lot like a mad game of tetris

We’re pretty sure the game “Tetris” was designed with the likes of Jesse in mind. This man can take 200+ buses of various sizes and stack them into a parking lot the size of a napkin like nobody’s business. There are awards for being able to tow a truck with your teeth, for people that eat hot dogs, even awards for rock, paper, scissors for crying out loud, but not an award for getting buses staged and keeping drivers in their buses for hours at a time? There should be - although we confess if there was, Jesse would win hands down, every time. He’s one of the hidden talents behind what makes STS a leader. Says Jesse: if you’ve got a messy parking lot, you’ve got trouble. He’s right.

Al Fernandez, On Site Supervisor

"The Worrier"

In addition to Alley Cat, we call him the “Worrier”. (Not the Warrior, the “Worrier"). He is simply amazing. Al starts to worry when a job begins to when it’s finished. He worries about our clients, our vendors and our style. He worries from the moment he gets up to the moment he goes asleep. He eats and breathes STS programs. You know what else he can do? He can make one person or 15,000 people feel special as he coordinates hectic schedules with panache. Our Al is a special guy with special powers - we’ve seen him manage the load out of a convention center like it was no big deal. But it was. Because he makes everything a big deal - remember? That’s why we love him.

"The Mighty Mite"

Also known as “Becky Boo”, “Mighty Mite” and “Pine Knot” because she is such a solid part of our team. Sure, it’s a lot of nicknames for a 4’10” package but she is one terrific lady. When you get Becky on your program, you get no nonsense and a true professional with a heart of gold. We’ve seen Becky stare down a wall of people, line ‘em up, and get them on their way fast, all the while smiling, organizing, jiving and shucking with the best of them. She just makes you feel comfortable when you see her. She is that good. We don’t call her all those cool names for nothing.

"MacGyver"

Our very own personal MacGyver. George can make, break or fix anything on the road when an issue arises. He has visited the Fed Ex/Kinko’s more than the delivery man himself. One of these days we expect him to show up on-site with a portable laser jet copier on his back. He saves the day by doing the things we can’t get to on the road, plus a whole lot of things we can’t do without him. When you see George you give a good long sigh - it feels that good to be near him. You know when he shows up - everything is going to be all right. Maybe that’s why we affectionately call him “Papa”.

"Go ahead catch me if you can!"

We could call her Sporty Spice but she’s way cooler than that. Brandi is a free spirit that loves traveling the country working STS programs. She can out-dance, out-run, out-bike anyone on the team. We keep trying to out-bus her but we don’t think it’s possible. She just keeps going and smiling and making us laugh at the silliest things. When you travel a lot you need someone like Brandi: someone you can count on for a good joke, and someone you can simply count on. You can’t ask for more than that.
